2018 Harvestec 6000 Series Rigid Heads 6312C-70
Harvestec 6000 series has industry-leading features and includes the option of a stalk chopper.
Features may include:
- A light yet robust frame structure and new row units reduce weight.
- High performance snapping rolls feature 4 hardened carbide knives bolted to each snapping roll shaft for easy replacement.
- Exclusive serrated edges between the knife blades provide 8 pinch points on the stalk per revolution of roll. This results in less trash intake and stalk slippage than most competitors with just 4 pinch points.
- Knives can be reversed when the front edge wears to prolong life & reduce operational costs.
- Each front-supported snapping roll uses two sealed double row ball bearings. The grease in the cavity forms a barrier to prevent dirt & debris from contacting the bearing seal. The greasing interval is weekly or every 50 hours of operation, far greater than most of our leading competitors.
- The reduced frame weight, high performance snapping rolls, aluminum row unit gearboxes and compact driveline requires less horsepower from the combine resulting in reduced fuel consumption.
- The compact aluminum row unit gearbox is protected by a Walterscheid radial pin safety clutch.
- The gathering chain driver sprockets are replaceable as a single piece. These sprockets have a special tooth profile that protects the gathering chain if the chain meets an obstruction. This also helps to protect the row unit driveline.
- Chopper models feature aluminum stalk chopper gearboxes with a large oil volume to dissipate heat. The optimized position of the chopping knives relative to the snapping rolls ensures excellent chopping quality even at higher ground speeds of 7 ½ MPH (12 km/hr).
