Reports to General Manager

      Carl F. Statz and Sons, Inc., a 90 year old Case IH and New Holland Ag dealership is currently seeking an experienced AG Service Manager to lead their Agriculture Service Department. Our dealership services the major agriculture lines of Case IH, Case CE, New Holland Ag, New Holland Construction, Kuhn, Kinze, Demco, Mac Don, Mc Cormick, Lemken, Meyer, Wilrich and several other lines
     In this role the candidate's primary responsibilities will be to manage the entire AG service operation including shop assignments, personnel, performance standards and work output to satisfy customer’s service needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Building and maintaining Service Work market.
  • Supervise and coordinate work load of Service Technicians.
  • Schedules service work according to priority and maintains an orderly flow of work.
  • Advises customers of necessary repair service including estimates of cost; also makes recommendations to customers for preventative maintenance.
  • Handles customer complaint problems pertaining to service and repair work.
  • Supervises and schedules training of Service Technicians.
  • Fleet Maintenance.
  • Responsible for the safety of service technicians and maintaining a safe working environment in the shop area and reporting all accidents to management immediately.
  • Develops service advertising and promotion programs.
  • Assists sales manager with evaluating trade-ins and reconditioning costs.
  • Responsible for prompt reconditioning of trade-in equipment.
  • Orders and maintains adequate supplies and tools for service department inventory.
  • Warranty submissions.

Qualifications 
       1. Technical College Degree in Diesel Mechanics.
       2.  Minimum of 2 years Management Experience in a working shop environment.
       3.  Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short 
            correspondence and memos in English.
       4.  Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
       5.  Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.
       6.  Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 
       7.  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
8. Must possess a positive attitude and ability to work with others and take direction.
       
9. Current Driver’s License with clean driving record.
