Power Sports Mechanic – Reports to: Shop Foreman & Service Manager
Department: Power Sports
Job Summary: Participate in power sports service activities, programs and projects; strive to produce quality repair with minimal delay; communicate project status.
Duties & Responsibilities: The Power Sports Mechanic, will perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on Power Sports Equipment. Responsible for other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure customer and dealer equipment is in good working order.
Specifically: 1. Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on recreational power sports equipment.
2. Participates in Service Training programs required.
3. Maintains current knowledge of vendor equipment and products.
4. Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
5. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
6. Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
7. Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing
assigned duties.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
9. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Education and Experience:
1. HS Diploma or equivalent. Technical degree, preferred.
2. Minimum one year relevant power sports repair experience, preferred.
3. Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment.
4. Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of
recreational and turf equipment.
5. Current Driver’s License with clean driving record.
6. Proficient communication skills, verbal and written, with strong customer service skills.
7. Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
8. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
9. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
Essential Functions:
Ability to continuously bend, walk, push and lift all day. Ability to lift 75lbs repeatedly. Demonstrate
accountability for all safety procedures. This position requires driving, standing, sitting, using computer,
printer, telephone, calculator and copier. The physical demands described here are representative of those
